The brand’s first purpose-built electric mini bike offers two automatic wheelie modes, motorcycle-grade brakes and up to 35 miles of range

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — FRP Moto, the mini bike brand of FRP Powersports, Inc., has launched the M3, its first mini bike designed from the ground up for electric power. Pre-orders are open now at frpmoto.com, with the Basic model priced at $2,049.99 and the Plus model, which adds a wheelie bar, at $2,149.99. Deliveries are expected to begin in early November.

The M3’s standout feature is Auto-Wheelie. In addition to three riding gears, the bike has two dedicated wheelie gears: a practice mode for riders still learning the technique and an advanced mode that delivers about twice the lift. Once the rider brings the front wheel up, the M3 holds it there, with the controller constantly adjusting motor output to keep the bike balanced. The throttle sets the wheelie angle, anywhere from 20 to 45 degrees, instead of controlling speed. If the bike tips past 58.5 degrees, it automatically drops out of wheelie mode. Both wheelie gears top out at 10 mph on flat ground, and braking stays in the rider’s hands.

“Our community told us they wanted to learn at their own speed, then get more bite as their skills grew,” said Wei Huang, founder of FRP Moto. “Two wheelie modes were the answer, in a bike that’s still every bit an FRP.”

Built for hard riding

The M3 tops out at 55 mph and delivers up to 35 miles of range under ideal conditions. Its 3 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor puts out 4.1 kW (5.5 hp) at peak and can hold that peak for about 17 seconds. The removable 60V battery carries a true 23.4Ah capacity, uses EVE Energy lithium-ion cells and charges in about six hours with a 5A charger or nine hours with a 3A charger.

A 420H chain, heavier-duty than the #35 chains common on electric mini bikes, drives the rear wheel. Motorcycle-grade dual-piston hydraulic brakes front and rear clamp 3.5 mm-thick, 170 mm stainless-steel rotors, and squeezing either lever cuts motor power. Up front, a triple-clamp setup with suspension replaces the single-bolt mount found on many mini bikes, and 5.7-inch-wide SunF tires provide grip. The M3 weighs 121 pounds and supports riders up to 210 pounds.

Smart features for everyday riding

Safety features cover the moments off the throttle, too. Putting down the kickstand cuts power, the bike shifts into park after 30 seconds of inactivity, and it shuts off automatically on a timer. A customizable four-digit passcode starts the bike, and USB-A and USB-C ports keep phones charged on the trail. An FRP companion app, currently in development, is set to add GPS location alerts and an adjustable speed limit for parents.

The M3 comes in gold, purple, black, red and white, and is backed by a one-year warranty on the bike and battery plus U.S.-based phone support. FRP recommends that riders wear protective gear, ride in appropriate off-road areas and follow local laws.
